Workforce Partnerships
AO Workforce Partnerships provides a variety of services under contract with local Workforce Investment Boards (WIB). There are fourteen Workforce regions in the State of Missouri, each administered by a local WIB. In most instances the WIB receives Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding from the Missouri Division of Workforce Development; although in some cases WIBs receive grant funds directly from the US Department of Labor.
Alternative Opportunities contracts to provide services through the Career Center system. AO currently provides WIA youth services in the Ozark workforce region (Springfield and Branson Career Centers) and Southwest workforce region (Joplin and Monett Career Centers). We provide Career Center staffing services in the West Central workforce region (Clinton and Nevada Career Centers). In the Southwest Workforce Region we provide Career Center staffing services (Joplin and Monett Career Centers) and functional management services (Joplin Career Center).
